Kedron United Church is located at 1995 Ritson Road North, Oshawa Ontario at the intersection of Ritson Road and Conlin Road.
Our neighborhood is a neighborhood in transition. At one time our community was a community of farms and you can still see working farms from our church. You can also, though, see hundreds of new homes in recently developed suburbs. We are also about a kilometer from UOIT and Durham College.
Rev. Dr. Susanne Abbuhl is the minister of Kedron United Church. Susanne is very approachable and welcomes questions and inquiries from members of the community. She wants Kedron to be a place where all are welcome and feel free to explore questions of faith.
Originally from Vancouver, Susanne has studied at Vancouver School of Theology, Emmanuel College and the University of Toronto and has a Doctorate in Biblical Studies from the University of Toronto. She believes strongly that no one should leave their brains at the door when they enter church. She has just completed a six year appointment to the United Church's Committee on Theology and Faith, where she helped draft the United Church's new Statement of Faith.
To relax Susanne enjoys bicycling, being outdoors, gardening, and reading.
